Our History
Founded in 2016, our mission is to provide clients with the latest in security technology, experienced personnel, and the highest quality customer service in the video surveillance industry. After spending years as a law enforcement officer and subsequently operating a mid-sized security personnel firm we “knew there had to be a better way.” This realization led to the design and development of our Mobile Video Guard trailers and pole/wall mounted units.

Founder
Shawn Scarlata, brings over 25 years of law enforcement and security experience to Mobile Video Guard and it’s parent company SMART Security Pros. Shawn served as a member of the Prince George’s County Police Department for 22 years before serving as CEO of a privately-owned security company in Washington, DC. During Shawn’s leadership tenure, his former company’s size grew from 25 to 300 employees with revenue growth of over 2000 percent in 6 years – and was recognized as one of the top security firms in the region by the Washington Business Journal as well as 3 years in a row on the Inc.500 list of America’s fastest growing companies.
